Success Stories
Discover how leading research institutions across Asia have advanced their genomics research with our solutions
Asian Seabass Genome & Blue Economy
Partnered with Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory on GWAS and QTL analysis for Asian Seabass, supporting Singapore's "30 by 30" food security initiative through genomic-enabled aquaculture breeding
Platform: GWAS + QTL Mapping
Outcome: Elite broodstock selection for sustainable protein production
Cotton & Wheat Genome Assembly
Resolved the complex polyploid genomes of allotetraploid cotton (2.30 Gb) and hexaploid wheat (14.71 Gb) using NRGene's DeNoVoMAGIC3 and 10X Genomics Linked Reads. This work on the two genome assemblies was published in Nature Genetics (2019) and Nature Communications (2020), respectively. Our team served as co-first and contributing authors for the cotton genome paper published in Nature Genetics in 2019.
Platform: Illumina HiSeq 4000 + 10X Genomics Linked Reads
Outcome: Global reference genomes for crop breeding
Oil Palm Industrial Genomics
Scaled from exploratory WGS to industrial GBTS "Liquid Chip" technology, screening 2,382 oil palm seedlings in 2025 for yield traits and Ganoderma resistance, securing Malaysia's primary export
Platform: GBTS (Genotyping by Targeted Sequencing)
Outcome: Full industrial-scale genomic selection deployment
